run 26 miles?

Sunday, January 19 Uncle Logan ran in the PF Chang Marathon. Of course lots of preparation has gone into preparing for such an event. Running 26 miles is huge. He has been running, working out and eating very healthy for months. WOW! He also had to have the proper clothes/shoes to help him run safely.
Preparation had to be taken on our behalf also:
1-make signs 2- get chairs 3-water 4- snacks to eat while waiting 5- lots of rest 6- cameras of all sorts 7- loud voices to cheer him and all the runners on! We wouldn't miss it for the world!
Dad and Mom making sure everything is ready. Carly and Lindsey waiting at mile marker 14. Me and Carly excited to see Uncle Logan.
Wow, look at him he looks great. I would be dying at 14 miles. He came up next to us and gave us high 5's that was cool.
Off to the next stop where we met up with Lance and Heather and their boys.
Case and Sienna enjoying licorice sitting on the curb.
Johnny, Papa and Conner checking out the map of where we will see him next.
We are at the 21 mile marker now.
Lindsey and Oma, camera's ready!
Happy beautiful girls...Sienna, Carly and Ramie!
They loved holding up the signs and cheering for all the runners.
Well you can see the licorice was a good idea...Conner, Case and Crew.
Ramie, Kylee and Carly running around burning some energy.
Lance and Heather
Larissa and Lindsey
Crew, Me and Kylee eating more snacks.
Mile 21 GO Uncle Logan, he is still smiling and more high 5's!
GO Uncle Logan 5 more miles!
He did it...oh my gosh! WOW, what an accomplishment. He isn't even breathing hard or looking like he might pass-out! He did an amazing job! He finished in 3 hours and 46 minutes! One of my hero's! He put his mind to it and accomplished something many of us will never do in this lifetime. We are so proud of you!
Mom asking, "what was the hardest part?"
Logan, "the 20 -26 mile stretch!"
Look at the salt marks on his shirt. You are Mr. Incredible!
We are all proud of you!
Congrats Uncle Logan!
Logan and his running partner Mike, good job guys!
Ready for the next race?
I told Logan I am running Pat Tilman with him, so watch out now it is time for me to train (4.2 miles, he laughed!)
What a fun day

Aunt Lizzy is 2 months older than me!

Liz is 2 months older than I am! It has been so fun being so close in age. She has a beautiful family that we love to hang out with. Her oldest is two years older than Lindsey, so she preps me for what is ahead with hormonal girls! Liz gives whatever calling she has 110% I love to learn from her and her love for serving the Lord.
Aunt Liz is known for her fun and gorgeous jewelry.
You are a great sister-in-law!
Love it when we meet up and enjoy date nights together.
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Aunt Liesl

Auntie Liesl is Erik's twin.

She has such a fun personality.

She loves Brian Regan (the comedian).

She is great with teenagers.

We love her so much and hope she had a great birthday (she is 7 minutes older than Erik)!

Saturday Sports

Yesterday was such a gorgeous January Saturday that we wanted to hang around outside. Lucky for us Ramie had her second soccer game, so we went. She did so awesome! Go Scorpions! From there we went to Conner's basketball game. He did so good! He scored 8 points and passed the ball around so well. They won...go Sharks!

Geography Bee

Monday, January 12 Conner was in a Geography Bee. It was for kids in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. He is in 4th grade. The kids were all given a packet with 100 questions they had to find the answers to and memorize. With Christmas break and cousins here visiting we didn't get much studying done. Erik and Conner worked on it a little bit answering about 60/100 questions. Worried about how competitive Conner is we reminded him of his lack of studying due to a busy holiday season and told him to just do his best. I was so worried and just hoped he'd make it through the first round.
Here Conner and his buddy Austin Carpentar waiting for their turn. WOW, Conner continues to amaze me. He is so talented! He made it to round 7! He has his Dad's awesome quality to be able to remember things sometimes only heard or read once! He answered a question Erik had no clue without even blinking. Go Conner Go Conner! He ended up coming in Fourth Place. We are so proud of you Conner!

Offically potty training, yikes!

Wish me luck...I have committed to hanging around the house and potty training Coleman (yikes)! Hopefully he will catch on quick. I am hoping since the minute he wets his diaper he wants changed. I think he is ready! I have found boys to be much harder than girls. Let's hope I am wrong! I will return and report with hopefully great news!
