What a fun yet busy Saturday!

Saturday began early, Conner had an 8am play-off Wham basketball game. We had to leave the house at 7am, oh boy. Lindsey had church volleyball and breakfast 8am. All good activities with great outcomes, love that my kiddos have these opportunities. Conner won his game therefore he would get to play at 3pm for the championship.

After Conner's first game we went and watched Lindsey play volleyball. She loves to play and has a great attitude about cheering her friends on. In fact, I was proud of her because one ward didn't have enough players (she didn't know anyone in that ward) and volunteered to play on their team. What a good girl she is.

Warming up! Love the shoes. I asked her where her volleyball shoes were and she answered, "at home!" Such a teenager. They didn't match I guess. Nice VANS!

YEAH "Sharks" they won 35 to 14. Conner had 12 points, great job buddy! What a fun game and great season!

Conner, Donovan, and Dallin like their cool medals they got?!

Pointing at the CHAMPIONSHIP spot!

Conner #5 good job SHARKS. Conner had been struggling with fouling, but did a great job controlling himself in the championship game! Thanks to all our family who supported Conner this season - we love you!

Peter Piper, Conner's team party. Carly enjoying pizza so she can go play video games! Cole had a fun time playing on the play center (slide)!

Lindsey was glad Summer and Dakota were there to hang with. Conner and one of his teammates!

Michelle and Jasmine Hanna they are Donovan's family. We love them and are glad they live in our neighborhood.

It was a fun day spent hanging with our kiddos!

London's Run

Our family had the opportunity to help out with London's Run this year. We loved it. A little over 3 years ago our dear friends Warren and Heather Solomon lost their little girl, London, to cancer. This run was organized to help pay for their medical bills. The Solomon's have continued to hold the run each year to sponsor kiddos in the Queen Creek community fighting cancer to help with their needs. It is an amazing event. It is held at Schnepf Farms and the people that come out are so neat. It is a huge community event where they even have started a London's Ride (a horse ride). A place where people are happy all working together for a good cause. I joined the committee and was asked to handle the awards/plagues.

My family rallied around me and came to help out too. Thanks Erik, Lindsey, Carly, Conner, Larissa, Oma, Papa and Logan.

Conner ran the fun run - 2 miles. Great job buddy!

Summer Edwards and Lindsey great friends!

Carly, Erik and Conner your help was great!

Aunt Heather and her friend Erin came and ran the 10K, way to go! Lance and Joe brought the kiddos to cheer them on!

Thanks everyone for supporting me and all your wonderful help!

Conner's lAsT Pinewood derby!

Saturday, January 24 Conner participated in his lAsT pinewood derby! I can't believe he is in Webelos and has already been in 3 derby's, wow! He didn't place in the top 3, but he did a great job and cheered his buddies on!

The 3 musketeers, Dallin Edwards, Conner, and Donovan Hanna.

Carly starts PIANO!

Wednesday, February 25 Carly started piano!
She has been asking for awhile now and it is finally happening.
She is eager to practice and excited to learn, she must learn how to play because she wants to be a piano teacher when she grows up!
Sis. Bonnie Reed is her teacher, Carly loves her and says she is so nice!

Lindsey's room make-over

For Lindsey's birthday she wanted to re-due her room. She decided to go with dark brown and light blue. I was excited for this make-over because I like those two colors together. One of her gifts was the cute bedspread.
We are hoping to find a cute shelf or pegs to hang under her board for purses and long jewelry. Maybe one day we will make a CUTE framed board with the metal in it. She got money from the Larsen crew and one thing she bought was the CUTE lamp.
A teenager's room...I am lucky she isn't into posters!
We are looking for a CUTE saying to put on her wall with the vinyl lettering over her closet doors.
Will add some pictures to the right of her window. Her room is still a work in progress. She is very pleased at how it looks so far, yeah!

Lions, tigers and bears oh my...

Cole has been asking to go to the ZOO for days now. He wanted to go see the LIONs and TIGERs!
We tried to tell him there were even more animals there, but all he wanted was to see the LIONs and TIGERs!

So Monday we went to the Phoenix Zoo. Oma was our only taker (happy to have her) for our zoo adventure.
Cole hates having his picture taken, so we didn't get many pictures.
Oma was a lot of help. Unfortunately for us it was a HOT day 85 degrees I think (that is hot for February). We managed to survive. Cole kept us moving quickly from one animal to another. We of course had to make several trips to see the LIONs and TIGERs (they were always sleeping those lazy creatures!).
Oh yeah, Cole loved watching the fish and ducks swim in the outdoor aquarium. He called them SHARKS!
Had a great time...thanks Oma for coming with us.
Oh yeah, Cole was out within minutes of our drive home. Oma and I treated ourselves to SONIC to cool us off of course!

Gramers turns one year YOUNGER...

Some of us ask do I have to have a birthday and get older? Can't it just be our special day and call it good? That is what I wish as I am getting closer to 40, ouch!

Gramers has had a birthday and we were HAPPY to share her special day with her! February 19 we got to make the birthday call and sing our lovely "Happy Birthday" song.

Gramers is who tries super hard to hold the Morris family together. She plans monthly parties, dinner get-togethers, girls luncheons and wonderful FHE's.

We are lucky to live close to her. It takes us about 6 minutes to get to their house. The kids love to go there because they always have fun toys to play with, cousins over to play with, plan fun activities and yummy desserts after FHE.

Every summer Gramers, Papa and Nana spend the summer in the White Mountains. We try and stay 5-7 days there with them. Gramers is an amazing camping cook! She always brings games to play, watches the kids play in the river, takes walks with us and makes camping fun!
Over Thanksgiving weekend Erik, Conner and Lindsey went up with Gramers and Papa to cut down a Christmas tree (one of their many traditions). They had a blast!
On Gramers birthday we ladies (Liesl was sick and not there) went out for dinner at Matta's! Gramers ordered a cheese crisp and water. She is very simple and easy going that's what makes hanging out with her fun. She doesn't stress out very easily. Happy Birthday...we love you lots!
