Lindsey's FIRST talk in Sacrament Meeting

Lindsey gave her first talk in Sacrament Meeting today! She did a fabulous job! Her topic was on the family. She used the Strength of the Youth pamphlet, Ephesians 6:1-3, and a personal story. She didn't even seem nervous. She looked gorgeous - she curled her hair so pretty! We are so proud of her and what a good young woman she is.

WHERE is Uncle "Wogan"?

The first thing Cole said to me this morning was "Where is Uncle wOgAn?" No not just once but a half a dozen times! He loves Uncle Logan! Last night I had to go to Young Women's with Lindsey to work on our skit for girls camp and Erik was at work. Uncle Logan came over and watched Carly, Conner, and Cole. They love having him come and hang out.

He even earned serious BROWNIE points because he put the kids to bed (of course he is the COOL Uncle he let Conner stay up and hang with him), but as he was putting Cole to bed he discovered Cole had POOPED! Now normally Uncle Logan doesn't do diaper changes, but he couldn't put Cole to bed with poop so he CHANGED him. You stud, thank you! He warned me that he hadn't changed a diaper in a long time and that he hoped the diaper stayed on all night. It did and it looked like he put it on perfect! You ROCK! Thanks for helping us out we LOVE you Uncle wOgAn!!!

How much SUN can we get?

I spent the morning at a camp meeting and visiting teaching. Knew tonight I would be gone at Young Women's working on our camp skit with Lindsey. Uncle Logan was going to come over and sit with the younger kids, so if I took them swimming they would hopefully be tired and go to bed for him easy. So that is what we did. We went and hung out with Debbie Jacob's and her kiddos. They have one of the funnest pools! Conner and Jordan, can you believe Jordan is older by two months?

Sunsplash on a Monday

We are lucky to have Dad home on Monday's. He doesn't work the night before so he is awake and ready to go. We decided that he would keep Coleman and take Lindsey to her orthodontist appt. while we went to Golfland/Sunsplash. Thanks Dad for being willing to take Cole and for having a "COLE experience" at the ortho office (they were running behind and of all days the movie they were playing was "Pirates of the Caribbean" one Cole had absolutely no interest in). I guess he wasn't too bad Erik treated Lindsey and Cole to a treat at Burger King afterwards. Lindsey then got to go hang out with Summer Edwards for the day. We on the other hand picked up Dallin Edwards, Conner's friend from church, and Whitney Steverson, cousin Lisa's oldest daughter, and went to Sunsplash (we have summer passes). We had a super FUN time. We went on I think every possible slide and activity possible. Carly's favorite thing to do was the GREEN lily pads (you hold on to two ropes and step on green lily pads trying not to fall into the water). Whitney loved the wave pool. The boys ran around from one thing to the next.

We packed our lunches to save money, that was nice. It gave us a little break in the shade and reminded us to drink water. Whitney downed a bottle of water in no time.
I loved spending time with the BIG kids. Tried to continually put sunscreen on them, but the sun still got the best of us. It was hard with the girls because they wore goggles and took them on and off constantly rubbing the sunscreen off. A super fun day!
Of course on the way home we had to stop at Dairy Queen and get a treat. Carly got her favorite DILLY bar and Whitney is a CHOCOLATE ice cream fan.
The boys both got CHOCOLATE dipped cones. I think they were wiped out! We came home and laid around all night.

Do I have eyes in the back of my head?

Saturday I was getting ready in the downstairs bathroom while the kids were watching Saturday morning TV. When I heard this conversation going on. Carly was talking to Conner asking him if "she could see through the back of her head?" I could only hear Carly's voice. "Oh, only mom's and dad's, so when I get bigger I will be able to see through the back of my head!" To be a kid again - innocent and naive. I guess we still have her believing we can see everything!

We love days where we don't have to get ready and we play all day! That is what we did today.

Our day went as follows:
1. 8:30 Blow up pool/begin filling it.
2. 9:00-10:00 Lindsey and Conner had piano
3. 9:30 pick up Jase and Whitney to come play (Brynn has strep throat can't play)
4. 10:15 Aunt Rissa and girls meet at our house to hang out for the day
5. 10:30 Go in the backyard for some swimming fun (to find swimming pool losing air quickly - this is the 2nd time to use this pool, frustrating)
6. 10:35 Cole gets sunscreen in his eyes and cries for an hour (Cole done swimming)
7. 11:40 Take Conner to basketball camp (Cole falls asleep in the van)
8. 12:30 Larissa and I BBQ hotdogs (Menu: grapes, chips, carrots, beans, KOOLADE)
9. 12:40 We all come in for a delicious lunch
10. 1:00 Quiet time - movie time/Erik wakes up if he even got any sleep?
11. 1:15 Leave to pick up Conner/Larissa goes to eye appt.
12. 1:45 Sienna and Jase go down for their naps (We now have 3 kiddos asleep)
13. 1:45 Conner goes to a friends to play (talk to LaSchelle for a few minutes)
14. 1:50 Read Ensign and relax with kids watching their movie
15. 3:30 Larissa gets back
16. 4:00 Larissa and girls leave (we had a fun day)
17. 4:30 Pick up Conner & friend (Donovan) and Lindsey's friend (Olivia)
18. 4:45 Dad finally gets off to work (his car was having a hard time starting)
19. 5:00 Drop off Jase and Whitney (happy they came over)
20. 5:15 Went to Grandma Jan's to swim with Heather, Lance and boys (tons of fun)
21. 7:00 Hit Burger King, Subway & Bashas on the way home
22. 8:00 Bath time and talk to Aunt Joyce on the phone
23. 9:00 Start laundry/put kids to bed
24. 9:20 BLOG time
Silly picture...I feel so lucky to have my sisters and sister-in-laws so close (talk to LaSchelle often). I love to hang out with them and their kids. I loved visiting with Larissa today. She is so calm and patient and loves my kids even when they are screaming for an hour (COLE)! We love to sit and watch the kids play and share our life happenings. I do love days where there are NO WORRIES, today was one of those days!

Summer Olympics 2008

Waiting for the Summer Olympics to start. The participants will range from 5-18 years old in three events. A run, long jump, and shot put!

Little Colorado River in Greer, Arizona

After dinner we drove down to the Little Colorado River. It was chilly and beautiful. I would love to spend all summer there. Dad and Cole loving the outdoors.

Molly Butler's Steak House in Greer, Arizona

Friday night we went to Molly Butler's Steak House. It is a tradition we do every year. It is located in one of the most BEAUTIFUL towns in Arizona, Greer. There is windows facing the meadows a lot of time you can see the deer out eating.

We take a family picture on these stairs every year. It is fun to see how our family has changed.

White Mountain Morris Family Reunion

Every summer we go to the Morris Family Reunion in the White Mountains outside of Pinetop, Arizona. We were there this year from Thursday, June 12 through Sunday, June 15. We are so lucky we get to use Aunt LaSchelle and Uncle Steve Schneider's pop-up trailor. It is a lifesaver and makes camping so much fun! Thanks! Cole even slept all night every night, that is amazing for him.

This year Aunt Liesl, Sheridan and Michael came from the Webb family. Aunt Tina, Byron, Stephanie and Jacob came from the Braley family. All of the Lavolds came and of course Gramer, Papa and Nana were there. Of course many of the extended Morris family was there also.

This year we brought up our bikes for the first time, it was fun to ride them all around expecially up to the bridge. Cole loved taking wagon rides too. Lindsey got to play in the volleyball tournament for the first time this year (she is finally old enough).

Some of our favorite things we did were:
*sitting around the camp fire at night just talking
*riding in the truck looking for animals
*celebrating Jordan Lavold and Stephanie Braley's birthdays
*Father's Day
*taking walks
*Aunt Liz EDWARD (Twilight Book)

Some of our not so fun times:
*a flat tire
*no showers
*port a john's
*smelly skunk
*a bull waking us up in the middle of the night eating our OREO's

Some animals we spotted were:
*fish
*crawdad
*deer
*elk
*bugs/worms
*a snake
*squirrels
*birds

A sad thing that happened:
*Shep (Gramers and Papa Morris' dog) died he was having seizures and had to be put down.
*Conner fell out of Gramer's and Papa's trailor
*Cole shut Kaelyn and Jake's fingers in the door
*Gramers fell out of the trailor


I think we all agree our FAVORITE thing to do was play in the river. It was full and flowing good. Conner, Megan and Jordan built a dam.
