Lindsey gave her first talk in Sacrament Meeting today! She did a fabulous job! Her topic was on the family. She used the Strength of the Youth pamphlet, Ephesians 6:1-3, and a personal story. She didn't even seem nervous. She looked gorgeous- she curled her hair so pretty! We are so proud of her and what a good young woman she is.
Good Job Lindsey. I actually fainted giving a talk in Sacrament meeting....oh how I hate speaking in front of people. And I'm always in awe when others seem so relaxed doing it!
Yeah...I am sure she did a great job! Ashley talked this Sunday also. She talked about girls camp. She wasn't happy when I said yes for her...but she did an awesome job...they always do!
“I don’t want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone’s garden. I want to be there with children’s sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really there, and that I really lived.” M. Hinkley
