First time... 3 years ago Carly broke her tibia and ulnar bones (wrist area - right arm) playing at a park on the wiggly bridge (we didn't know it was broken!). Three weeks after her cast was on they took x-rays and decided it wasn't in the right place. They had to put her under and re-set her arm. Time for a new cast and re-set the calendar date as to when it would come off. What a beautiful little angel! Second time... Carly today with a broken humerus (left arm bone right above her elbow). This break required surgery and 3 pins. Monkey bars at lunch recess in the first grade. She has been such a trooper! "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer. John 16:33
“I don’t want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone’s garden. I want to be there with children’s sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really there, and that I really lived.” M. Hinkley
